Whilst we have no rule on attending a basic training, we do host one for those newer to the game and/or semi-serious Milsim communities as well as pilot and medic trainings for those who want them. If you would like to attend an Operation, we have no strict rules making you go through a long and tedious basic training before you attend, you just react to the post and join the server when told to! We also understand that people have lives so we do not make operations mandatory. Also when we don't have an op its likely that we will have something like Antistasi running. Our main Operation happens on a Saturday, 20:30 BST/15:30 EDT with a secondary operation sometime midweek so keep an eye out in announcements for when those come out. ArmA 3 in the other hand just dies if my internet slows down even by a fraction, there will be lots of desync and 'No message received' involved in that case.
The King's Royal Regiment has a ranking structure that is purely holistic (excluding Recruit to Private) and we do not expect you to be calling Officers "Sir" or anything like that because at the end of the day, we are an online community and not the military.
